ArtBash is a spring exhibition showcasing work from first-year Contemporary Practices (CP) students at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC).
The identity needed to be flexible enough to live across a range of artistic disciplines while also capturing the energy of students who are just beginning to define their voice.

INSIGHT
First-year art students are simultaneously expressive and highly impressionable. Their art is messy, bold, and still becoming. CP classes are a time for students to discover their
individuality within their work. It is a time for exploration and experimentation.
The idea was to pair raw, expressive brushwork with controlled gradients to reflect the tension. While the paint represents unfiltered expression,
the gradients represent the structure students are working with.
TARGET AUDIENCE
CP students, SAIC students & faculty, art lovers, general public.
